10 September 2022(1 event) 9:00 AM: District Officer Training II – District Officer TrainingThe District Officer Training dates are for Area Directors, Division Directors and Senior Team members only. Club Officers do not have to attend these events, and they are not required for clubs seeking recognition in the Distinguished Club Program. Establishing and Supporting New Clubs: The District Mission is "We build new clubs and support all clubs in achieving excellence." Creating — chartering — new clubs is the first part of our mission. We'll learn how that goal is accomplished in this session, and what each officer can do to support this mission-critical goal. Coaching Clubs to Enhanced Quality: Many clubs don't just want to be clubs; they want to be distinguished clubs, or select distinguished clubs, or even president's distinguished clubs. We'll talk in this session about the strategies for achieving that goal. |

13 September 2022(1 event) 7:00 PM: Secretaries' Forums – The Club Secretary Forum is a quarterly occasion for club secretaries to meet and talk about the challenges and opportunities of their role. The Secretary of a club is more than a glorified note-taker; with the President and one VP, they're one of the minimum requirements for the officer team of a club. Additionally, their responsibilities for organizing the agenda of Executive Committee meetings and club Business Meetings, and accurately recording the results of those meetings, have power in a court of law. Your role is important to the success of the club! Forum key: D53-Forum The Secretary Forums will take place on 9/13/2022, 12/13/2022, 3/14/2022, and 6/14/2022. |
14 September 2022(1 event) 7:00 PM: Treasurers' Forum – The Treasurers' Forum is an occasion for club treasurers to talk about their roles as the keepers of the club's financial health. We'll discuss budgeting, the Toastmasters store, the Toastmasters dues cycle and your role in it, and how to support the other officer roles with information and guidance. We'll also talk about your responsibilities as the club's bookkeeper, and how to conduct the end-of-year or midyear audit for your club. Forum key: D53-Forum The Treasurers' Forum will meet on: 9/14/2022, 12/14/2022, 3/14/2023, and 6/14/2023. |
15 September 2022(1 event) 7:00 PM: Sergeant At Arms' Club Officer Forum – Oft neglected, always necessary, the Sergeant At Arms is an important role in toastmasters clubs, as the keeper of the club's physical property, the doorkeeper and janitor, room set-up person and greeter. Yet the role could be so much more. We'll look at the SAA role in the quarterly forum from several different angles, including their role as the chair of the Social and Reception Committee of the club — the organizer of open houses and contest refreshments, and the first welcoming face to guests and new members. Forum key: D53-Forum The Sergeant at Arms forums will meet on: 9/15/2022, 12/15/2022, 3/15/2023, and 6/15/2023 |

1 October 2022(1 event) 9:00 AM: District Officer Training III – District Officer Training IIIDistrict Officer Training is for Area Directors, Division Directors, and Senior Team members only. It does not help qualify members for their club officer roles, and you do not have to attend. Thriving in the District Recognition Program: Just as clubs have the metrics of the Distinguished Club Program (DCP), District officers have their own metrics for success to be designated as a Distinguished, Select Distinguished, President's Distinguished, or Smedley Distinguished Area, Division or District. We'll talk about what those metrics are, why we're aiming for them, and what we can do on a personal level to help the District achieve these goals locally and regionally, for our own success and the success of others. Organizing Speech Contests: In order to be a champion, a speaker in the International Contest or one of the other Toastmasters contest cycles (Humorous, Table Topics, Tall Tales, and Evaluation) has to advance from a club contest to an Area Contest, a Division Contest, and a District Contest. In this session, we'll learn how to create a fun and exciting Speech Contest experience for contestants and functionaries alike. |
