4 April 2024The Annual Alignment Preview Meeting is the forum for the club’s District Council delegates (Presidents and VPEs) to discuss the proposed realignment of clubs to areas to divisions for the next program year with the Realignment Committee, before the plan is voted on by the District Council during the spring District Council Business Meeting. This alignment must be adjusted each year (if necessary) to keep our organizational structure in alignment with Toastmasters International governing documents. For detailed requirements and the District 53 strategy on club alignment, please see the D53 Club Alignment Guide. The current draft Realignment Plan has already been reviewed and approved by the District Executive Committee (Senior Staff, Area Directors and Division Directors) for recommendation to the full District Council Business Meeting on April 11.
This is an optional meeting and all District Council delegates and staff are welcomed to attend.

9 April 2024The District 53 Leadership Committee and District Director Patti Walter invite you to a Candidates' Showcase and Candidate Corner, to meet the nominated candidates for District offices.

Format:
After introduction of panelists and timers, all the candidates will be introduced in turn by the office for which they're running, and by candidate's last name within each officer role. Each candidate will have two (2) to four (4) minutes to answer a series of questions related to themselves, their opinions on leadership, and the officer role for which they are running. At the end of the Showcase, the candidates will retire to Zoom Breakout Rooms to meet individually and severally with any District 53 Toastmaster who wants to meet with them as an online Candidate Corner.
The Zoom call will end promptly at 8:45 pm.At the end of the Candidates Corner, candidates will each go to a Breakout Room for informal conversation where you can engage each candidate in informal conversation for up to a half-hour. The event will end promptly at 8:45 pm ET.

15 April 2024The District Executive Committee is composed of the District Director, the Program Quality Director, the Club Growth Director, the District Public Relations Manager, the District Administrative Manager, and the District Financial Manager; and the Division Directors and Area Directors of District 53. The Region Advisor and International Director for District 53’s Region are ex officio members.Attendance of other persons at this meeting is by invitation of the District Director. To place an item on the agenda for a specific meeting, please contact the District Administrative Manager or the District Director at least three business days in advance.
